FRISCO, TEXAS — FC Dallas is gearing up to take on Atlanta on Saturday night. Dallas is in the midst of a bit of a summer swoon, picking up just one victory in its last five matches and falling to 9th in the Western Conference.
Dallas struggles seem to remain the same, having the 2nd fewest goals scored in the West with 27. Its defense, on the other hand, is the second best with 28 conceded. Jesus Ferreira who has 10 goals, is Dallas only attacker with more than 4 goals and assists combined. Ferreira has been out the past couple games, and FC Dallas head coach Nico Estevez has not confirmed if Ferreira will be playing in Saturday night’s game.
Atlanta, meanwhile, was finally starting to hit top form before it ran smack into FC Cincinnati and was brought back down. Despite the loss and rocky performance, the Five Stripes only have to play Cincy once more in 2023 and everyone else in the Eastern Conference playoff picture failed to pick up maximum points as well. A win at Dallas could see Gonzalo Pineda’s side move from 6th to 3rd.
Kick off is set for 7:30pm CT at Toyota Stadium and it will be one heck of a game to watch. Stay tuned
