The Dallas Wings Face The Seattle Storm To Close Out Regular Season

ARLINGTON, TX- The Seattle Storm (11-27) head to Texas to face the Dallas Wings (20-18) at College Park Center on Friday night.

The last time these two teams faced each other was early August. Dallas took the win, 76-65, on the road. The Wings were led with 27 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists by Arike Ogunbowale.

For Seattle, they were led with 31 points by Jewell Loyd. Loyd hit five 3’s but it was not enough to take the lead from Dallas.

Dallas is coming off a close loss against the New York Liberty, 94-93, in the last three seconds of the game, after a missed shot from Satou Sabally.

The Seattle Storm are coming into this matchup eliminated from playoff contention. The Atlanta Dream eliminated Seattle with 18 points by Allisha Gray and a season-high 15 points and 14 rebounds by Monique Billings.

Atlanta took the victory after trailing 36-33 in the first half. Seattle kept the game within nine-points, with a good 2-point shot by Sami Whitcomb, 68-77. Atlanta’s Allisha Gray sunk at 2-point shot to close the game, 79-68.

Dallas defense has struggle and is currently ranked the second-worst in the WNBA, giving up 84.9 points per game. They have been able to hold onto that No.4 spot, leaning on their offense. Dallas will have to clean up the defense if they want to make a long run in the post season.

These two teams will go head-to-head at College Park Center, tip-off is at 7 p.m.
