Dallas Defense dominates Yet Again in 30-10 Victory Over The Jets

ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Cowboys (2-0) move to 2-0 on the season after beating the New York Jets (1-1) 30-10 on Sunday afternoon. Dallas’s defense dominates yet again only giving up 10 points to their opponents so far this season while scoring 70 of their own. The Cowboys forced three interceptions on QB Zach Wilson in the fourth quarter which sealed the deal for Dallas on Sunday.

Dallas dominated the first half of this game taking a 18-10 lead into the half. Zach Wilson and the Jets couldn’t get much going in the first quarter thanks to Micah Parsons and Co. The Cowboys held New York to 20 yards on 10 plays while Dallas’s offense had 117 yards on 17 plays.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson got away from the defense with a 68-yard touchdown putting New York on the board. That was the first touchdown that the Cowboys have given up this season.

Quarterback Dak Prescott started off the night throwing 14-of-15 and looked extremely confident in his decision making early. He finished the night 31-of-38 for 265 yards and two touchdowns.

The tight end group made up some ground from last week. In week one against the Giants the tight ends dropped more passes than they wanted too, of course the non stop rain didn’t help. With the dropped passes, they did a great job blocking and paving the way for their teammates to score.

Both touchdowns in the first half were made by TE’s Jake Ferguson (his third NFL touchdown) and Luke Schoonmaker (first NFL touchdown).

The Cowboys took an 18-10 lead into the half and it only got worse for the Jets after that. Dallas scored another six in the third and fourth quarters to take the win in Arlington.

“I’m just hungry. I don’t care if I’m gassed out. Mind over matter…. This organization changed my life so I’m trying to give back to the fans and mr. Jerry Jones.” Micah Parsons said after the game.

Dallas will head to Arizona next weekend to take on the Cardinals on Sunday at 3:30 PM.
