Dallas Cowboys Dominate The New England Patriots 38-3

ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Cowboys (3-1) defeat the New England Patriots 1-3) 38-3 on Sunday afternoon.

The Cowboys dominated the entire first half on both sides of the ball. Head coach Mike McCarthy calls it “complimentary football” and his team did exactly that in the first half. QB Dak Prescott finished the half 19-of-22 for 196 yards and one touchdown. The O-Line held off Matthew Judon and Co. and only allowed one sack. CeeDee Lamb scored his first touchdown of the season and Dallas scored its first receiving touchdown of the season with the 20-yard connection from Prescott to Lamb.

Defensively, Dallas’s defense just can’t NOT score a million points. They just can’t stay out of the endzone. I guess there are worse problems to have. Donte Fowler stripped QB Mac Jones and Leighton Vander Esch recovered and scored a 10-yard touchdown. After six years Vander Esch scored his first career touchdown for the Cowboys. The magic didn’t end there Chauncey Golston scored the two-point conversion after the touchdown after Punter Bryan Anger faked the kick.

Just when you think the defense has done more than enough… they do more.

Right before the half DaRon Bland has a 54-yard pick six giving the Cowboys a 28-3 lead. Only two Cowboys players in the last 20 years have two interceptions returns for touchdowns in the same season, Trevon Diggs, and now the man that replaced him after a torn ACL, DaRon Bland.

Kicker Brandon Aubrey has been lethal for Dallas. He is now 13-of-13 for the start of the season in his first four games.

Early on in the third quarter Bland struck again. The man is far from Bland if you ask me. He grabs yet another interception for the Cowboys. He finishes with two on the night. Bland has eight interceptions since 2022, which is the most in the NFL.

The rest of the third quarter was quiet. The Cowboys continued to struggle in the red zone and Dallas took a 31-3 lead entering the fourth quarter. The red zone issues were still very apparent; they were just hidden with an amazing performance by the defense. Midway through the third quarter they were 0-3 in the red zone and currently 0-7 this season.

The Cowboys rolled through the fourth quarter with another touchdown. And the Cowboys continued to rally to a victory in AT&T Stadium.

Dallas will head back to Frisco for a big week of prep before heading to San Fran to take on the 49’ers on SNF.
