FORT WORTH — The TCU Horned Frogs managed to continue their winning streak tonight against the HCU Huskies with a final score of 101-64.
The horned frogs were led by Jameer Nelson who had a double-double game with 15 points 10 assists, and to top it off 5 rebounds. The team was also led by Emanual Miller with 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Miller says, overall, the team is building off their previous games and are capable of going as far as they want too.
TCU had a slow start defensively in the first half but HCU’S 15 turnovers helped them not fall far behind. TCU managed to pick up the pace in the last 5 minutes of the first half giving themselves a 22-point lead going into the second half.
TCU came into the second half more focused and only had a total of 6 turnovers and 10 fouls.
The Huskies had a total of 24 turnover’s and 13 fouls which led them to fall short. The Huskies struggled to get points on the board with only 35 points in the second half.
The Huskies were led by Jay Alvarez with 21 points.
TCU Head Coach Jamie Dixon says the Horned Frogs are now headed into harder games.
“We’re going to play power 5 teams going forward, and it’s another opportunity to get better.”
The TCU Horned Frogs are now 6-0 and will head to Washington D.C. on Saturday December 2nd for their first road game of the season against The Georgetown Hoyas who are 5-2. These two teams last played December of 2021 where the Horned Frogs beat the Hoyas 80 -73.
