This marked the sixth time in franchise history the team has beaten a team by at least 50 points and tied for third-largest win margin in team history.
Luka Dončić drop in a game high 40 points with 10 rebounds and 11 assist. With 40-10-11 against the Jazz, Dončić surpassed Larry Bird (59) for sole possession of ninth place on NBA’s all-time triple-double list with 60.
“I did? That’s pretty amazing. I don’t know what to say, honestly, but we all know who Larry Bird was so it’s pretty special,” says Dončić on passing Larry Bird for the ninth-most triple-doubles in NBA history.
Kyrie Irving scored 26 points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals. The Mavericks are 5-2 in games this season when Irving scores 25+ points.
