Missouri Takes Down Ohio State In Cotton Bowl Classic, 14-3

Arlington, TX- The Cotton Bowl did not disappoint yet again this year as the underdog came away with the win again. Last year Tulane upset USC and this year it was Missouri over the highly touted Ohio State squad 14-3. Now there are a lot of things to take into consideration for this game. Starting quarterback Kyle McCord left this team in the transfer portal and will be playing for Syracuse next season. Star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. also has opted out in this game which leaves a huge hole offensively.

As far as Missouri goes, they have almost the entire squad minus injured players. This group of veteran seniors could have opted out to declare for the NFL draft but instead they wanted to finish out their final game of the season leaving this matchup to be a lot closer than anticipated.

The game started out extremely slow with only 3 points being scored in the first half. The run game was being utilized a lot for Ohio State due to the lack of a veteran quarterback but that was not enough as the offense could not produce in crucial moments.

Brady Cook for Missouri did a good job managing this offense and not trying to do anything crazy. He made big plays when needed and also got rid of the ball as quickly as possible when reading a blitz coming which ultimately allowed them to find success.

Brady Cook went 11/18 with 128 yards and 1 touchdown and star running back Codey Schrader had 29 carries for 128 yards and 1 touchdown.
