Green Bay Packers Dominate The Dallas Cowboys, 48-32

ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Cowboys lose on their turf ending a 16-at home game winning streak to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night in the first round of the playoffs 48-32. The Cowboys have yet again another phenomenal regular season and couldn’t bring it to the postseason.

Things in Arlington started and ended bad all across the board for Dallas. The Packers got on the board first with a touchdown by Aaron Jones giving Green Bay a 7-0 lead. This is where the Cowboys penalties started to add up, they had three alone in the first quarter for 23 yards. Jones scored another touchdown giving the Packers a 14-0 lead. At this point in the game things were still manageable for Dallas until Dak threw a pick-six caught by Darnell Savage giving the Packers a 27-0 lead. At that point everyone pretty much knew it was a done deal.

QB Dak Prescott and WR CeeDee Lamb couldn’t get into rhythm at all. The dynamic duo has been consistent all season and on Sunday just couldn’t find it. On 17 attempts, Prescott only connected on nine of them with Lamb. With Lamb not having the best day Prescott went another route and found TE Jake Ferguson not one, not two, but three times. Ferguson had three touchdowns on the night for Dallas, RB Tony Pollard also had one touchdown for Dallas.

Despite the offense not getting going until late in the game they still managed to score 32 points… and not win the game. The Cowboys defense on Sunday was one of the worst we’ve seen all season, which shocked most because the Cowboys defense was so highly ranked all year. Packers QB Jordan Love had an amazing game and played lights out for Green Bay. With that being said it’s easy to throw to your wide receivers when they are completely wide open with no Cowboys player in sight.

The Cowboys offense started to get going late in the third quarter but it didn’t matter because the defense was not going to stop the Packers from scoring.

With the Cowboys seasons officially over a lot has to be done in the off-season to get this team where it needs to be. As of Monday morning no changes have been made in the front office. Head Coach Mike McCarthy had team meetings this morning with both his staff and his players. Locker clean out will be done today at the star and the off-season will officially start for the players.

As more news comes out of what Jerry Jones plans to do with his organization during the off-season, D210SPORTS will update as the information is released.
