DALLAS, TEXAS — SMU extended its two-game conference winning streak to three after a convincing 103-70 win over Tulsa.
Defensively, SMU did a good job putting pressure on star guard PJ Haggerty early on, forcing him to have a bad shot selection. Haggerty still had quite the day, scoring 19 points, but forcing him to take a lot of shots early allowed them to rebound and get the ball out quick for some easy transition plays.
Offensively, four different players scored in double digits, and 37 points came off the bench. Chuck Harris led the way, scoring 18 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds. The offense played so well that the entire bench got a chance to see some action today, including Jackson Young, a walk-on who recently got offered a scholarship, which made the crowd go wild.
SMU will look to keep their winning streak going when they travel to Denton to take on the University of North Texas this Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
