FRISCO, TX – The Dallas Cowboys haven’t done much since free agency started but the team definitely looks a whole lot different since the season ended. These are the latest moves for the Cowboys:
Signed in Free Agency:
RB Tony Pollard (TEN)
DE Dorance Armstrong (WAS)
C Tyler Biadasz (WAS)
OT Tyron Smith (JETS)
DE Dante Fowler (WAS)
DT Neville Gallimore (MIA)
CB Noah Igbinoghene (WAS)
DT Jonathan Hankins (SEA)
Released:
WR Michael Gallup
LB Leighton Vander Esch
Signed:
RB Rico Dowdle
LS Trent Sieg
CB Jourdan Lewis
LB Eric Kendericks
The Cowboys are seeing many players leave and not many coming in. WR Michael Gallup had visits with the Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens this week. RB Rico Dowdle got signed to a one-year deal with Dallas after the Cowboys lost Tony Pollard to the Titans. Cornerback Jourdan Lewis also signed a one-year deal.
COO Stephen Jones says that the market inflates during free agency and that is why they don’t move as fast, “I’ve always been of the ilk that you, in this first couple of days of free agency, you pay good players like they’re great, you pay average players like they’re good, and so on and so forth,” Stephen Jones said. “Because the market’s inflated in our mind. That’s one opinion.”
The Cowboys have the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft as well as the 56th pick, 87th pick, 233th pick, and the 244th pick. The question is what does Dallas need the most at that 24th spot?
