FRISCO, TEXAS — Running Back Ezekiel Elliott returns to the Dallas Cowboys back field and will have some help carrying the load this upcoming season. Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn, Royce Freeman, Malik Davis, Snoop Conner, and Nathaniel Peat will compete in OTAs and training camp for a spot to get in rotation
“We led the league in rushing in New York back in 2008. I think we had three guys that were carrying the ball. but again, we’ve got some new pieces. You know, the guys who have been around Zeke probably more than I have, thrilled he’s back learning Royce Freeman. you know, Deuce just I think that’s the biggest thing is getting those guys, the reps, getting those guys to work,” says Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer on running back by committee.
