MINNESOTA — The No. 5 seed Dallas Mavericks and the No. 3 seed Minnesota Timberwolves will face off in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals 2024 NBA Playoffs series in Minnesota on Friday night.
The Mavericks come into the game with a 1-0 lead in the series after securing a hard-fought 108-105 victory in Game 1.
Luka Dončić was a force to be reckoned with in Game 1, showcasing his skills by shooting 46.2% from the floor and dishing out 8 assists. He played for 41 minutes and also grabbed 6 rebounds, contributing 33 points on 12 of 26 shooting.
Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving put up an impressive performance, scoring 30 points with 24 of those coming in the first half. Despite the Mavericks struggling from beyond the arc, shooting just 24% (6 for 25) on 3-pointers in the win.
On the opposing side of the ball, Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards was held to 19 points on 6-of-19 shooting, while Jaden McDaniels stepped up with a team-high 24 points.
