FRISCO, TEXAS — FC Dallas wins 2-0 over LA Galaxy, its eighth home win in a row in league play, dating back to Aug. 15, 2015.

According to interim head coach Peter Luccin, “that is one of the best teams in the League…. and we didn’t concede a goal.”

A goal in each half gave Dallas the edge.

In the 28th minute, Logan Farrington cut the ball back inside the 6-yard box, and Galaxy goalkeeper John McCarthy got a foot to it, kicking it out to the penalty spot, where Petar Musa was waiting to score his 12th goal of the Major League Soccer season.

In the 56th minute, Asier Illarramendi lofted a ball over the Galaxy’s backline to Logan Farrington, whose perfectly timed run found the end of the pass, smashing it behind McCarthy.

“It gives us some momentum in the League, because now we can really focus on the League,” said Farrington. “As heartbreaking as it is that we’re out of the Open Cup, we got to focus on what’s ahead of us, and making the playoffs is that”

Dallas lost 3-1 away at LA earlier this season, back in May.

FC Dallas return home to Toyota Stadium on Wednesday, July 17 to host Austin FC for the last leg of the Copa Tejas, with kick off slated for 7:30 p.m.
