RB Dalvin Cook Signing With Dallas Cowboys

FRISCO, TX – The Dallas Cowboy are signing seven year vet running back Dalvin Cook to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad  on Wednesday morning according to ESPN’s Todd Archor.

The deal was announced one day after Cook visited with the Cowboys, which was also the same day the Cowboys released the 53-man roster.

Cook has played the majority of his career with the Minnesota Vikings. He played there for six seasons before heading to the New York Jets where he played last season. Cook ended his 2023 season playing in 15 games for the Jets and ended the 2023 season with 67 carries for 214 yards.

In his entire career he has 1349 carries for 6,207 yards for 47 touchdowns. He also has 236 receptions, 1,872 receiving yards for five touchdowns.

The four-time Pro-Bowler will join the Cowboys running back room with Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn, and fullback Hunter Luepke.

Cook’s 5,238 rushing yards over the past five seasons are the fourth-most in the NFL over that stretch, ahead of Elliott and behind only Derrick Henry, Josh Jacobs and Nick Chubb.
