Notably, running back Brashard Smith dazzled with nine carries for 108 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Kevin Jennings showcased his skills with 148 passing yards and one touchdown. With this triumph, the Mustangs hold a perfect 2-0 record for the season.

The defensive prowess of SMU was equally impressive.
