RB Ezekiel Elliott Named Starter For Week 1

FRISCO, TEXAS — Ahead of the first week of the NFL season, Ezekiel Elliott has been given the nod as the starting running back for the Dallas Cowboys, moving ahead of Dalvin Cook and Rico Dowdle in the team’s depth chart.

Notably, while Elliott is officially listed as the starting running back, head coach Mike McCarthy has hinted that the team plans to distribute carries among the running backs, suggesting a shared workload in the backfield.
