Cowboys Continue Dominance Against Giants With 20-15 Win

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — In a NFC East showdown under the lights, Dak Prescott led the Dallas Cowboys (2-2) to a 20-15 victory over the New York Giants (1-3) at MetLife Stadium on Thursday night. This win not only solidifies the Cowboys’ grip on the rivalry, marking their seventh consecutive victory over the Giants, but also extends their dominance to 14 wins in the last 15 meetings.

The excitement kicked off right from the start as Prescott linked up with running back Rico Dowdle for a 15-yard screen pass, getting Dallas on the scoreboard. But the real showstopper of the evening was when Prescott made a stunning play, launching a 55-yard pass to CeeDee Lamb, who took it to the house for a thrilling catch-and-run touchdown.

Prescott completed 22 of 27 passes for 221 yards. Lamb proved to be his go-to target, hauling in seven catches for 98 yards, providing a spark when it was needed most. Adding to the scoring, kicker Brandon Aubrey nailed field goals from 60 and 40 yards, helping the Cowboys improve to 2-2 on the season.

On the defensive front, the Cowboys were relentless, stifling the Giants’ ground attack to a mere 26 rushing yards on 24 carries. Despite controlling possession for over 35 minutes, New York struggled to find the end zone for the second consecutive home game. Quarterback Daniel Jones finished with 29 completions on 40 attempts for 281 yards, but the offense fell short when it mattered.

UP NEXT: The Cowboys will prepare for a Sunday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 6.

Game Stat Leaders:

  • Dak Prescott (DAL): 22/27, 221 YDS, 2 TDs;
  • Daniel Jones (NYG): 29/40, 281 YDS
