KANSAS CITY, Missouri — TCU bounced back Saturday with a win against Big 12 opponent Kansas at Arrowhead Stadium, following a tough loss to in-state rival SMU. Despite entering the game as two-point underdogs, TCU emerged victorious, winning 38-27.
Quarterback Josh Hoover and wide receiver Jack Bech led TCU’s offensive charge. Hoover threw for 356 yards and three touchdowns, while Bech hauled in 10 receptions for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Hoover has now thrown multiple touchdown passes in eight straight games, and this marked Bech’s second consecutive game with two receiving touchdowns.
JP Richardson added a spark to this offense with an 89-yard punt return for a touchdown, tying for the fourth-longest in TCU history.
Kansas entered the season as a potential Big 12 title contender but has now dropped four straight games. Jayhawks quarterback Jalen Daniels started strong but struggled as the game progressed, finishing 15 of 34 for 179 yards and one touchdown.
TCU will face Big 12 rival Houston next Friday at 6:30 p.m.
