Mavericks Fall to Clippers 110-96 In Preseason Action

INGLEWOOD, CA — The Dallas Mavericks dropped their preseason matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, 110-96, at the new Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Quentin Grimes was the standout for Dallas, leading all scorers with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, showcasing his offensive abilities as he continues to vie for a key role in the rotation.

Kevin Porter Jr. led the Clippers with 18 points and five assists, guiding Los Angeles with a balanced attack that overwhelmed the Mavericks. Interestingly, Klay Thompson, who played 18 minutes, went scoreless in the game, struggling to make an impact on offense.

Despite these struggles, the Clippers’ depth, rebounding advantage, and efficient perimeter shooting allowed them to control the game, while Dallas—without Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving—struggled to find consistency on both ends.

As preseason winds down, head coach Jason Kidd will look to sharpen his team’s rotations and defensive structure. The Mavericks will return home on Thursday to face the Milwaukee Bucks, hoping to bounce back and continue their preseason preparations.
