FRISCO, TEXAS — FC Dallas wrapped up their 2024 MLS season with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Kansas City, finishing with a record of 11-15-8. Petar Musa led the way with his 16th goal of the season, setting the record for most goals in a debut season for the club. An own goal by SKC defender Joaquín Fernández secured the win, marking Dallas’s third forced own goal this season.
Despite missing the playoffs, the win brought Dallas fans something to cheer about in their 17th consecutive sellout at Toyota Stadium, a club record. Interim head coach Peter Luccin acknowledged the fans’ energy but noted that the team still has work to do.
Midfielder Sebastian Lletget echoed this, stating, “This wasn’t the season we hoped for, but tonight was about pride and giving our fans a good ending.”
Forward Logan Farrington, named El Matador’s Player of the Year, reflected on his rookie season, expressing his desire to continue improving in 2025.
Though this season didn’t meet expectations, FC Dallas heads into the offseason with hope, knowing changes are on the horizon and the connection between the team and its supporters remains strong.
