DENTON, TEXAS — In a methodical 14-3 win, No. 25 Army controlled the clock and stifled North Texas (UNT) at DATCU Stadium. The Black Knights held the ball for over 41 minutes, rushing for 293 yards, with quarterback Bryson Daily contributing 153 yards and two touchdowns.
UNT’s typically high-powered offense struggled, scoring only once on a 31-yard field goal by Kali Nguma in the first quarter. Quarterback Chandler Morris threw two costly end-zone interceptions, halting key drives as UNT went scoreless in three red-zone trips.
Despite the loss, UNT’s defense held Army to a season-low 14 points. UNT head coach Eric Morris commended the defense’s resilience against one of the top rushing attacks in college football. However, Army’s 14-minute drive in the third quarter left UNT with just 38 seconds of possession, limiting offensive opportunities.
UNT, now 5-4, will travel to San Antonio for a Friday night game against UTSA.
