DALLAS, TEXAS — The No. 14 SMU Mustangs (8-1) return to action after their final bye week to host Boston College (5-4) at Ford Stadium on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN.
SMU is riding a six-game win streak, averaging 43.0 points per game. The Mustangs are making history with their highest AP ranking since 1985 and a 5-0 ACC start, a first for a team transitioning from a Group of Five conference.
The defense has been relentless, forcing 19 turnovers (3rd nationally) and scoring four defensive touchdowns (2nd). Offensively, quarterback Kevin Jennings ranks among the nation’s elite, leading the ACC in passer efficiency in conference games (178.6). All-purpose weapon Brashard Smith and kicker Collin Rogers, who leads the nation in 50+ yard field goals, add to SMU’s firepower.
Boston College enters after a 37-31 win over Syracuse, snapping a three-game skid. The Eagles defeated SMU in last year’s Wasabi Fenway Bowl, setting the stage for an exciting rematch.
SMU boasts a 28-5 home record since 2019 and looks to extend its dominance in Ford Stadium, where it averages 50.4 points over the past 13 games.
