DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Mavericks are in a slump, dropping four consecutive games after a strong start to the season, leaving them with a 5-7 record. Defensive lapses, poor rebounding, and inconsistent performances from the supporting cast have contributed to their struggles, despite standout efforts from Luka Dončić.
On Thursday night, the Mavericks suffered a narrow 115-113 loss to the Utah Jazz. Kyrie Irving, a late scratch due to a shoulder sprain, was sorely missed in the tightly contested game.
Head coach Jason Kidd addressed the team’s struggles, saying, “We gotta be better.” The Mavericks will have a chance to snap their losing streak on Saturday night, November 16, when they take on the San Antonio Spurs.
The Mavs must rediscover their rhythm quickly before the skid undermines their momentum.
