DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Mavericks dominated the New Orleans Pelicans 132-91, marking their largest margin of victory this season at 41 points. This win is the second-largest against the Pelicans in franchise history, following a 46-point victory in December 2019. With 132 points scored, the Mavericks set a season-high, having surpassed 130 points 15 times last season.
Dallas’ defense also shone, limiting the Pelicans to just 91 points. It was the fourth time this season the Mavericks have held their opponent under 100, improving their record to a perfect 4-0 in those games. Luka Dončić led the charge with 26 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. He also extended his streak of consecutive games with a made 3-pointer to 84, the second-longest active streak in the NBA.
Klay Thompson contributed 19 points, including five 3-pointers, and Naji Marshall posted 15 points and 3 steals against his former team. The Mavericks also dominated the boards, outrebounding the Pelicans 48-37, continuing their strong rebounding performance from the previous game.
With this victory, the Mavericks have now won four of their last five home games against New Orleans, improving their record to 6-4 in the last ten matchups overall.
