FRISCO, TEXAS — FC Dallas has officially announced Eric Quill as the team’s new head coach, solidifying his role after serving as interim head coach during the latter part of the 2024 season. The decision comes after a thorough evaluation by the club, which expressed confidence in Quill’s ability to lead the team forward.
Quill brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously served as an assistant coach for FC Dallas and head coach of North Texas SC, where he demonstrated a strong track record in player development and tactical acumen. Under his leadership, North Texas SC captured the USL League One title in 2019, cementing his reputation as a coach who can build winning teams.
“I’m honored to take on this role and continue working with this incredible group of players,” Quill said during the announcement. “FC Dallas has a rich tradition, and I’m committed to building on that legacy by delivering success for our fans and the organization.”
The decision to promote Quill reflects FC Dallas’ commitment to continuity and its focus on fostering homegrown talent, a cornerstone of the club’s philosophy. Quill’s intimate knowledge of the club’s academy system and his ability to nurture young players make him an ideal fit as the team looks to compete at the highest level in MLS.
Club President Dan Hunt expressed optimism about Quill’s appointment, stating, “Eric has proven himself as a leader who understands our vision for FC Dallas. His ability to connect with players and implement a clear playing style will be pivotal as we move forward.”
As FC Dallas gears up for the 2025 season, all eyes will be on Quill and his ability to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for silverware.
