ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Texas Longhorns 28-14 in the College Football Playoff semifinal at the Cotton Bowl. Quinshon Judkins led Ohio State with two touchdowns, while Jack Sawyer’s 83-yard fumble return sealed the win.
Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns but was hindered by key turnovers.
Ohio State (13-2) advances to face Notre Dame in the national championship on January 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Notre Dame secured their spot with a 27-24 victory over Penn State.
The Buckeyes aim for their sixth national title.
