Mavs Fall to Nuggets Despite Bench Contributions

DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Mavericks fell to the Denver Nuggets 118-99, moving to 14-4 this season when six-or-more players score in double figures. Daniel Gafford led the Mavs with 13 points, followed by Kyrie Irving (11), Naji Marshall (11), Maxi Kleber (10), Quentin Grimes (10), and Olivier-Maxence Prosper (10).

Dallas tied a season-high with four bench players scoring 10+ points, a feat they accomplished three times earlier this season, going 3-0 in those games.

Prosper’s season-high 10 points marked his first double-digit game this season and his fifth career effort in double figures. Gafford led the team in scoring for just the second time this season, adding four rebounds, an assist, and a block.

Jamal Murray starred for Denver, pouring in a season-high 45 points as the Nuggets dominated the boards with 51 rebounds, their second straight 50+ rebound performance.

Dallas is now 2-3 in their last five against Denver, including a 1-3 mark this season.
