Wyatt Johnston added an unassisted goal, and Ilya Lyubushkin scored his first of the season.

Timo Meier, Nico Hischier, and Brett Pesce scored for the Devils, with Pesce tying the game late on a 6-on-5 advantage. Casey DeSmith made 25 saves for Dallas, while Jacob Markstrom stopped 17 shots for New Jersey in his return from injury.
