Dallas Trinity FC Dominates Brooklyn FC with 6-0 Victory

DALLAS, TEXAS — Six goals were scored in the Cotton Bowl, all by Dallas Trinity FC in their win over Brooklyn FC.

Dallas Trinity FC came out pressing high and led the league-leaders throughout the entire game—more than half of Dallas’ 15 shots were on target (eight), while only one of Brooklyn’s six were on frame.

The scoring started in the 6th minute when Julia Dorsey played a ball to Lexi Missimo at the top of the 18-yard box. Missimo then found Chioma Ubogagu running on to her left, who then finished it.

Camryn Lancaster sent Dallas to the locker room with their second goal, and her first in her first start. Two flick on headers from a goal kick put her in position to take a touch, and finish past Brooklyn’s goalkeeper.

Allie Thornton scored Dallas’ third goal in the 68th minute. Lancaster served a ball in from the right side, and Umogagu put it back across to Thornton who redirected it on goal.

Just two minutes later, Thornton scored again, Ubogagu beat a double team on the endline and left it for Thornton to finish inside the box.

Missimo added on yet another in the 79th minute, placing it far right corner, and Lucy Shepherd scored one more for good measure in the 88th minute to end the game 6-0. Sealey Strawn took it to the endline and played it back low and hard across to find Shepherd for her first goal in the USL Super League.

Dallas Trinity FC will head out to play Lexington Sporting Club next Saturday, March 15.
