Toyota Stadium to begin renovations in 2025

FRISCO, TEXAS — Toyota Stadium will begin to undergo a $182 million transformation starting this year.

Opened in 2005, FC Dallas’ home is getting “Texas-sized” upgrades, according to FC Dallas president Dan Hunt.

One of the most notable additions to the stadium will be the roof, which will provide shade for those in the seating bowl. Other ways to watch games and experience FC Dallas will be through the two new suite levels and club spaces on both of the east and west sides of the stadium. There will also be more concessions and restrooms, and better accessibility throughout the stadium for those in need. The field itself will undergo some upgrades for an improved drainage system, and Toyota Stadium will have the largest video board for a MLS-specific stadium.

Moss Construction Senior Vice President Jim Cudihee said this will not be a typical construction project, as they will be working on the stadium while games are still being played.

The east side of the stadium is where construction is beginning, and work will shift to the west side in 2026. FC Dallas will continue to host matches during the renovations up until when it is said to be completed, in 2028.
