ATLANTA, GA — FC Dallas (3-2-2, 11 pts) battled to a 1-1 draw against Atlanta United FC (2-2-3, 9 pts) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, extending its unbeaten road streak to four matches.
Petar Musa netted the equalizer in the 60th minute off a sharp feed from Lucho Acosta, marking his third goal of the season—all scored on the road.
“We made key adjustments, and the subs brought energy,” said head coach Eric Quill. “Osaze [Urhoghide] was immense—he’s a force back there. Once we went to a 4-2-3-1, we stretched the field and created more chances. Musa’s goal came right after that shift.”
The draw gives Dallas eight points on the road this season, just one shy of its best-ever start away from home (2017). The team also leads MLS with eight points gained from losing positions. “We always fight back,” said midfielder Bernard Kamungo. “We wanted three points, but we worked hard for this one.”
Defender Nolan Norris echoed the team’s mindset: “Tough environment, but we stuck together. Every game I grow more confident—it’s an honor to play for my hometown club.”
The result also marked Dallas’ first-ever draw at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, moving their all-time record against Atlanta to 2-2-2.
“We’re building belief,” added Quill. “This team is starting to form its identity, and I love the direction we’re heading.”
FC Dallas returns home next weekend to host Seattle, aiming to keep momentum rolling.
