DALLAS, TEXAS — The Vancouver Canucks pulled off an all-time comeback Tuesday night, scoring three goals in the final 60 seconds of regulation to force overtime before Kiefer Sherwood netted the game-winner to beat the Dallas Stars 6-5.
Down 5-2 with a minute left, Aatu Raty sparked the rally. Pius Suter followed with two goals in under 30 seconds — the last tying it with 5.2 seconds left, marking the first time in NHL history a team scored three times in the final minute.
In overtime, Conor Garland set up Sherwood in the slot, completing the stunning comeback. Vancouver improved to 2-20-5 when trailing after two periods, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
Dallas got power-play goals from Mikko Rantanen, Mason Marchment, and Matt Duchene — who hit the 30-goal mark. Mavrik Bourque and Mikael Granlund also scored, but the Stars couldn’t close it out.
Dallas hosts Winnipeg Thursday. Vancouver visits Colorado next.
