FRISCO, TEXAS — FC Dallas couldn’t find the back of the net Saturday night, falling 1-0 to the Seattle Sounders in front of a sold-out crowd at Toyota Stadium. The loss drops Dallas to 3-3-2 on the season, while Seattle climbs to 2-3-3.

The Sounders capitalized on a first-half turnover to score the match’s only goal, taking advantage of a defensive lapse that left space open at the top of the box. Dallas struggled to build momentum in the attack and couldn’t create enough clear chances to mount a response.

One highlight for the home side came with 19-year-old Kaick earning his first career MLS start. The midfielder impressed in 58 minutes of action, posting six final third entries and seven duels won before being subbed out for Show Cafumana, who made his season debut after recovering from a preseason injury.

Despite the result, the atmosphere remained electric. The match marked FC Dallas’ 21st consecutive home sellout, with 11,004 fans packing the stadium as renovations continue on the east side.

After the match, head coach Eric Quill pointed to mentality and execution as key issues.

“They had the better mentality tonight, and we couldn’t match it,” Quill said. “We gave them too much space and didn’t do enough in the final third.”

Forward Logan Farrington echoed those sentiments, noting a lack of sharpness from the squad.

“We were just a step late all night—late on runs, late on decisions,” Farrington said. “We need to be more aggressive and creative moving forward.”

FC Dallas will look to regroup with a road trip on the horizon—where they’ve shown more consistent form early in the season.
