SEATTLE, WASHINGTON — Luke Raley drove in three runs and Cal Raleigh homered for the second straight night as the Mariners rolled past the Rangers 9-2 on Saturday.
Bryan Woo (2-0) settled in after a shaky start, tossing seven strong innings with seven strikeouts and one run allowed.
Texas struck first on Josh Smith’s RBI single, but Seattle answered in the third with four runs, highlighted by Julio Rodríguez’s RBI triple and Raley’s double. Raleigh added a solo homer in the fifth, and Seattle broke it open with another four-run frame in the seventh, capped by Raley’s two-run single and a Rowdy Tellez double.
Woo retired 12 straight at one point. Jake Berger added a late RBI for Texas.
