DETROIT, MI — The Dallas Stars’ downward spiral continued Monday night as they dropped their sixth straight game, falling 6-4 to the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena. It marks the longest losing streak for head coach Peter DeBoer since taking the reins in Dallas.
Moritz Seider broke a 3-3 tie with a power-play goal early in the third period, igniting a strong final push by the Red Wings. Lucas Raymond added to the lead midway through the frame, and Vladimir Tarasenko buried an empty-netter to seal the win.
Dallas hung tough through the first two periods, but mistakes in their own zone and a costly penalty turned the tide in Detroit’s favor. Despite solid offensive production, the Stars couldn’t slow the Red Wings’ late surge.
With the regular season winding down and playoff seeding at stake, the Stars will look to snap the skid when they travel to Nashville for a critical matchup against the Predators.
