NEW YORK, NY — The Dallas Wings made a major splash at the 2025 WNBA Draft, selecting UConn star Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick and adding four more versatile rookies to bolster their roster.
Bueckers, a dynamic scorer and playmaker, finished her college career averaging 19.8 points per game while setting multiple records at UConn.
With picks No. 12 and 14, the Wings added NC State guard Aziaha James and Ole Miss forward Madison Scott. James led the Wolfpack in scoring and brings offensive creativity, while Scott offers defensive versatility, size, and five years of SEC experience.
Dallas rounded out its draft with two third-round picks: West Virginia guard JJ Quinerly, a two-time Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, and Baylor center Aaronette Vonleh, who led her team in scoring and field goal percentage.
The Wings addressed key needs with a mix of scoring, defense, and leadership, setting the tone for a competitive training camp ahead.
