Dodgers Blank Rangers 3-0, End Texas’ Win Streaks

ARLINGTON — The Rangers saw their three-game win streak and nine-game home win streak snapped in a 3-0 loss to the Dodgers Friday night at Globe Life Field. It was Texas’ second shutout loss of the season and first at home since September 2024.

Jacob deGrom pitched well, allowing just one run over seven innings with seven strikeouts, but took the loss after giving up a leadoff homer to Tommy Edman. It was the fifth leadoff homer deGrom has allowed in his career.

The Rangers went 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position and were shut out by the Dodgers for just the second time ever.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto dominated with 10 strikeouts over seven scoreless innings for Los Angeles, lowering his ERA to 0.93 on the season. Edman’s homer and late RBI hits from Teoscar Hernández and Max Muncy gave the Dodgers all the offense they needed.

Corey Seager and Dustin Harris each had two hits for Texas. The Rangers are now 2-5 in series openers but have still won 9 of their last 15 overall.

Extras:
– Wyatt Langford went 1-for-3 with a walk in a rehab start at Double-A Frisco.
– Jonah Heim recorded his first caught stealing of the season.
– Attendance was 38,623, the second sellout at Globe Life Field in 2025.
