FRISCO, TEXAS — The Dallas Cowboys added depth to their secondary on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. out of East Carolina with the 76th overall pick in the third round.
Revel earned second-team American Athletic Conference honors in 2023 with the Pirates. In 2024, he returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown against Appalachian State before suffering a torn ACL in practice days later, ending his season.
With Trevon Diggs returning from injury and DaRon Bland emerging as a star, Revel joins a promising young group in Dallas. He brings size, toughness, and upside to a defense looking to reload.
The Cowboys last selected an East Carolina player in 1992 when they drafted linebacker Robert Jones.
The draft continues Saturday as Dallas looks to build on this momentum.
